Students from Bishop O’Connell High School’s STEM Clubs and Global Studies Program visited Lockheed Martin in Arlington, VA  to learn more about future pathways in aviation.  Educator and Club Sponsor, Melissa Pore, the D.W. Steele Chapter and Virginia State Teacher of the Year, first learned of this opportunity through her involvement in the Air & Space Forces Association local chapter events.  Students toured the Fighter Demonstration Center (FDC) and the Rotary Wing Innovation Center (RWIC) hearing about the latest capabilities in flight and navigation. Students had an opportunity to pilot the F35 cockpit demonstrator and discuss future capabilities and needs for flight training.
